The Fourth Time Charm is live! Can you believe it? I know you’ve been waiting for LJ and Marisa’s story and I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally share it with you. It’s got all the gooey sweetness of two friends along with banter for days and the heat that’ll require a cold shower or two!

“Are you sleeping with my daughter?” 

Not the question I wanted to hear from my coach. The man holding my pro future in the palm of his hand.

Marisa’s been my best friend since third grade. And now she needs my help—and a place to stay. Senior year was supposed to be the year to keep some distance until the season finished and my draft prospects were safe. 

But resisting her is becoming impossible. Movie Thursdays under the blankets. Study sessions on my bed. Wild party nights where I kept any guy interested at bay with a single glare. 

Her dad can bench me for the entire season, so she’s off limits—for now.

It’s HERE!!! The Proposal is finally live! Yes, I’m freaking out and shoving cupcakes in my face to celebrate. I hope you’ll join me!

When I envisioned Zara Logan dropping to her knees in front of me, this wasn’t what I had in mind...

I was expecting a lot less glaring and a lot more moaning.

Instead, she's proposing an enticing deal that I can't bear to walk away from.

To land one of the city’s biggest clients, she wants us to put our differences aside and play fake fiancés for the next thirty days.

So, I slip the diamond ring onto her finger and agree to play the perfect fiancé. How hard can this be?  

A hell of a lot harder than I thought... 

She’s infuriatingly stubborn and she thinks I’m a cocky jerk with an enormous ego. (She’s right, but I can definitely back it up...)

As our long days stretch into even later nights, it’s getting harder to remember we’re only playing pretend, which means one thing.

[The Proposal] Songs from The Proposal

Sometimes you hear a song and the story unfolds in front of you with each lyric. I love to listen to music while I write. A song might fit a scene perfectly or convey an emotion that makes it easier to me to write it. For each of my books, one of the first things I do is start a playlist. From the first time we meet in my mind, I’m getting to know who they are. Their stories and their struggles. It might be a song they love to dance to after a break up, the one they’re walking in the rain to or that one playing in their head after a night with their love.

It’s crazy how much fuel a song can give me. I won’t lie, I’ve definitely cried during some of them when writing. So I have a playlist for The Proposal. Leo and Zara’s story is sweet, sexy and emotional and beautiful.

One of my favorite songs is by Dua Lipa. Have you ever had that person you can’t stop thinking about even when you don’t want to? You can’t help yourself from dreaming about them no matter how hard you try. They’re under your skin and you have no idea how to get rid of them or if you even want to.
